Pek Yew Chai is the Managing Director of Siemens Business Services Singapore

A veteran of the Information Technology industry for 16 years, Pek brings a wealth of experience from various key positions he held in Singapore Computer Systems Limited (SCS) where he managed different business portfolios from outsourcing, systems software and hardware, to professional manpower services. He started his career as a sales manager with SCS in 1989 and rose to President and CEO position in 2003, in which he managed more than 2000 technical, sales and support professionals in Singapore and seven other countries in the Asia Pacific region, driving SCS’ infrastructure and Solutions business to commercial and government customers.

Pek also held position of Chief Operating Officer in MediaRing Ltd from 1999 to 2001. Pek started his career in Ministry of Defence and thereafter at SCS.

He has extensive experience in managing the planning, design and implementation of large-scale transformational mission-critical projects with various clients in the region. Chin Siong’s major clients include those in countries within Asia-Pacific region, Mauritius as well as the United States.

Dr. Chong Yoke Sin, CEO
NCS Group

Yoke Sin is the chief executive officer of NCS Group. She has played an instrumental role in the rapid growth of NCS and has successfully grown the business to five times its original sizes, garnering major projects in Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Middle East, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Yoke Sin is a member of several government computerisation project steering committees. A well-respected veteran in the IT industry, Yoke Sin is active in several IT and business associations. Currently, she sits on the Councils of Singapore Women’s Business Connection and the Institute of Systems Science Management Board. In addition, she is a regular contributor to The Straits Times and The Business Times (Singapore). She speaks frequently at regional conferences on e-Governance and e-Government.

Phey Teck Moh, President, CEO & Director
Pacific Internet Ltd

Mr. Phey joined Pacific Internet as President and CEO on January 16, 2006. He brings 20 years of leadership and management experience in the information technology (IT) and telecommunications industries.

Mr. Phey was previously with Motorola where he served in various senior roles in the Asia Pacific region over the last 10 years, including Asia Pacific Vice President and General Manager for its Government and Enterprise Mobility Solutions business. In that role, Mr. Phey provided leadership and oversight of the business unit’s profit & loss, sales, marketing and product planning across Asia Pacific.

Under his leadership, Mr. Phey grew the government and enterprise sector into one of Motorola’s most profitable businesses and securing its dominant position in that space. During this time, he turned around Motorola’s wireless business in China and significantly expanded its presence into multiple cities. Mr. Phey also served as Chairman of the Board at Shanghai Motorola Telecom Products Co Ltd. At the global level, Mr. Phey was a member of Motorola’s worldwide steering committees for radio products and wireless broadband. He launched the company’s wireless broadband initiative in the enterprise sector and developed it into a strong growth engine for Motorola.

Prior to Motorola, Mr. Phey rose through the ranks at the former Compaq to become its youngest general manager in Asia. He built its channel network and grew the business multiple folds in Indonesia and the Philippines. Mr. Phey started his career with IBM Singapore in 1986

Lim Seng Kong was appointed as Regional Director, ASEAN in 2005, with responsibility over Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam. Seng Kong is also Director of Training Partners, a Datacraft subsidiary. Seng Kong first joined Datacraft in 1993 and was promoted to be the Managing Director for the Singapore business in 2000. Seng Kong was among the first to recognise the importance of growing our services business and the need to transform the organisation based on a services and customer centric structure. Prior to Datacraft, Seng Kong was with IBM.

Barney is the Managing Director of Microsoft Singapore Pte Ltd and is responsible for all of Microsoft’s strategic, sales, marketing, services and support activities in Singapore. Prior to this, Barney was Director Small & Mid-Market Solutions & Partners, (SMS& P). He was responsible for Microsoft's overall business in the small and medium size businesses segment, as well as supporting the channel partners in this segment.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Barney held a variety of sales and marketing management roles including Director for Enterprise & Commercial Sales; Service Provider Sales; and Country Marketing in Cisco. Barney has also held various APAC regional marketing, channel management, business development and technical positions in Lucent Technologies, Hewlett Packard & Xyplex, Inc.

Craig Gledhill, Managing Director
Cisco Systems (USA)

Craig is the Managing Director for Cisco’s Singapore and Brunei operations. Craig is responsible for all of Cisco’s sales and marketing activities in both countries. He was previously the Senior Manager of Business Development for Cisco Systems’ Voice Solutions in Asia Pacific. Craig has been with Cisco for 6 years in Sales, marketing and Management roles. He was involved in the rollout of the first IP Telephony site in Australia and through this experience has been able to share ideas with prospective customers to help them benefit from this technology. He has over 15 years of working experience in the IT industry. Prior to Cisco, he worked for a system integrator, Fujitsu, and Harris, a communications company, where he gained practical knowledge and expertise in computing and voice integration. He has been involved in Data Centre system installations, storage farm deployments and outsourcing contracts.

Loh Teck Heng, Singapore Country Manager
Lexmark International

Loh Teck Heng is currently the Singapore Country Manager for Lexmark International. Lexmark offers printers and print management solutions. Lexmark develops all three technologies internally, mainly inkjet, laser and impact/dot matrix. Under Teck Heng’s leadership, Lexmark has been shortlisted for the enterprise workgroup category in the iDA bulk tender for the last 7-8 years running. His other major focus markets are healthcare/FSI and SMBs.

Teck Heng has worked in both MNCs like Sun Microsystems, Nokia, Adobe and HP, as well as in local companies such as SiS and Diversitec. He was one of the pioneers who set up Ingram Micro’s 1st Asia Pacific operations in Singapore.

He currently sits on the Radin Mas’ School Advisory Committee and is the Chairman of Radin Mas Alumni.

Mock Pak Lum, Managing Director
MediaCorp Technologies / 1-Net

Pak Lum is the MD of MediaCorp Technologies Pte Ltd, the broadcast transmission infrastructure, operator and service provider for digital and analogue broadcasting services in Singapore. In this capacity he oversees all information technology, engineering and transmission activities in MediaCorp, the largest and most established broadcaster in Singapore.

Pak Lum is also the MD of 1-Net Singapore Pte Ltd, the broadband exchange offering broadband connectivity, hosting and IT managed services. Pak Lum has been heading the company since its inception in May 1997.

In addition, he is an Exco member of the Digital Media Chapter, Singapore infocomm Technology Federation and a member of the advisory committee, School of Engineering, Nanyang Polytechnic.

Ng Chong Khim, Deputy President
Singapore Technologies Electronics Ltd

Mr. Ng Chong Khim is the Deputy President (Corporate Services & Marketing) of Singapore Technologies Electronics Ltd. He is concurrently President of the Communication and Sensor Systems Group (CSG) of ST Electronics, comprising ST Electronics (Info-Comm Systems) Pte Ltd, ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd and STELOP Pte Ltd.

Mr. Ng joined ST Electronics in July 1997 as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of CET Technologies. Prior to this appointment, Mr Ng held senior management positions in several ICT companies, including Telecom Equipment and Singapore Computer Systems. He served in the Singapore Ministry of Defence from 1981 to 1990 and held the appointment of Assistant Director (Communication Systems), responsible for the development and implementation of large scale communication systems in Mindef. He subsequently assumed the appointment of Deputy Director (Management Services).

Mr. Ng is a director of the Boards of ST Electronics (Info-Comm Systems), ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems), ST Electronics (Info-Software Systems), ST Electronics (Info-Security), ST Electronics (Shanghai), ST Electronics (Taiwan), Datamark, InfoWave, ST Logitrack, Trusted Hub, Mobile Solutions & Payment Services, Enigma Electronics, STELOP, E2 Multimedia, Nextwave Biomedical, Autoscan Technology and ST Electronics (e-Services).

Mr. Ng is a member of the Advisory Committee of Network Technology Research Centre of the Nanyang Technological University, Advisory Committee of the Bachelor of Technology Programme of the National University of Singapore. Mr. Ng is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).

Network for Electronic Transfer (S) Pte Ltd (NETS)

Mui Hoon is the CEO of NETS and the driving force behind the nationwide electronic payment system that is propelling Singapore towards a cashless society. Under Mui Hoon’s leadership, NETS is expanding internationally with a vision to be a leading provider of quality and innovative payment and transaction processing services in Asia. Mui Hoon was previously CEO and president of e-commerce company SESAMi Inc. and was also General Manager of the Internet Commerce Group at National Computer Systems (NCS). Mui Hoon is Chairman of Astute Pte Ltd and Vice-Chairman of Shanghai Commercial High and New Technology Development Company. She sits on the board of AXS InfoCommunications Pte Ltd and is also an Executive Committee member of the Young President’s Organisation, Singapore Chapter and member of Singapore Institute of Directors.

Shirley Wong, Managing Director

Ms Shirley Wong Swee Ping is currently the Managing Director of Frontline Solutions Pte Ltd and has more than 15 years of experience in the IT industry. Together with Steve Ting, Chairman of Frontline Technologies Corporation Ltd, they started their first company, Mentor Graphics Associates Pte Ltd, in 1993 and subsequently Frontline Technologies Pte Ltd in 1994. Frontline is listed on the Singapore Exchange since March 2001.

Before founding Frontline, Ms Wong was Sales Director at Mentor Graphics Associates Pte Ltd, Design Engineer at Chartered Electronics Industries Ltd, Regional Applications Manager at Cadnetix Pte Ltd (formerly known as Dazix Pte Ltd and subsequently Intergraph Pte Ltd) and Design Manager at Flextronics Pte Ltd. Ms Wong holds a diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from City and Guilds in the United Kingdom.

Ms Wong serves in several infocomm industry committees, including being the Chairman for the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) Security & Governance Chapter, member of National Trust Council (NTC) and Temasek Polytechnic IT School Advisory Council.

Tay Eng Hoe, Group CEO
ECS Computers Asia

Mr. Tay Eng Hoe is the Group Chief Executive Officer and Founder of ECS Holdings Limited, a public listed company on the mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange. He is a veteran in the IT industry with over 20 years’ experience.

In 1983, Mr. Tay set up ECS, which he grew it to an over S$2 billion IT powerhouse with operations and subsidiaries in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Mr. Tay sits on the Boards of various companies and government statutory organisations and is also actively involved in several charitable organisations. He is a Board Member of International Enterprise Singapore and also sits on their Human Resource and Strategic Committee.

In August 2005, he was conferred the Public Service Medal by the President of the Republic of Singapore in recognition for his public services to the country.

Tan Yen Yen, Managing Director
Hewlett-Packard Singapore

Tan Yen Yen is the Managing Director for Hewlett-Packard Singapore. She is responsible for driving overall revenue and profitability for HP in Singapore.

An IT veteran with 21 years of experience, including 15 years in HP, Yen Yen also leads the Technology Solutions Group in Singapore.

Yen Yen was previously Director for Software Global Business Unit for HP Southeast Asia (SEA)/India. Under her able leadership, HP’s software business expanded to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.

Prior to this, Yen Yen was the General Manager for Infrastructure & Systems Sales for HP SEA. Her extensive experience includes regional and country management roles in HP’s Channels and Alliances Business and Sales as well.

Before joining HP in 1993, she worked as Systems Analyst and Project Leader in the Ministry of Defence Systems & Computer Organisation and Regional Sales Manager for Prophecy Asia.

Yen Yen participates actively in Singapore’s infocomm industry, Honorary Treasurer of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS). She also sits on the Board of Advisors of Singapore Management University’s School of Information Systems.

Yen Yen has a degree in Computer Science from National University of Singapore, a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from Singapore Institute of Management, a postgraduate diploma in Marketing Management from Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), and an Executive MBA degree with Helsinki School of Economics Executive Education. She is married with four children.

"Bill Claxton is Technical Director of Iterate Pte Ltd (http://www.itr8.com), a Singapore-based company which is master reseller of Apreso and other educational technology products. Iterate is a proud member of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation. He has served on the organising committe of iX Conference since 2004."

He was Vice President, Media and Technology of Knowledge Platform Ptd Ltd where he developed media services and oversaw technology deployment internally and externally throughout Asia including Japan. Bill has worked at the senior management level for more than 10 years in Singapore and has extensive first-hand experience in various aspects of building a national IT infrastructure. For example, he was involved in the IT-2000 planning effort and currently chairs the National Committee on Standards for Information Exchange.

He founded and co-founded several IT companies, including Scriptech (S) Pte Ltd, iMedia (S) Pte Ltd, iLand (S) Pte Ltd, iTech Ventures (S) Pte Ltd, OpenAsia Solutions Pte Ltd, etc.

Wong Soon Nam, Vice President (Corporate Business Marketing)
Singapore Telecommunications Ltd

Wong Soon Nam is SingTel’s Vice President of Business Marketing, a portfolio he held since 1 June 2005. He oversees the formulation of global marketing plans and strategies as well as identifying and growing new businesses.

Prior to this appointment, he was the Vice President of Account Management in the Corporate Business Group, a position he held since 2002. Before that, Soon Nam was the Chief Executive Officer of SingTel Aeradio, a systems integration arm wholly owned by SingTel.

Besides these key appointments, Soon Nam previously held the positions of Director of Operation, Director of Engineering and Director of Customer Solution.

He started his career in Singapore’s Ministry of Defence and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of telecommunications.

Teresa Lim, Managing Director
IBM Singapore

Teresa Lim was named Managing Director of IBM Singapore in January 2006. In this role, she is responsible for the operations of IBM Singapore, including all product and services division, as well as the company's sales and distribution business.

Prior to this appointment, Ms Lim was Vice President of ibm.com for Asia Pacific. Preceding this role, she took an assignment in Tokyo for two years as the Director for Marketing Management, leading strategy and planning for Asia Pacific. In 2000, she was Director of Marketing for ASEAN/South Asia.

Since joining IBM Singapore in 1989, Ms Lim has held several positions in sales, business strategy, marketing and human resources. Early in her career, in addition to her skills and training responsibilities, she also led the corporate organisation transformation initiative for IBM Singapore.

She started her industry client representative sales profession in Banking and Finance, was the head of Communications Industry for Singapore and led the Public Sector business across ASEAN/South Asia countries. She also served as the Brand Sales Leader for Enterprise Servers in ASEAN.

She is a member of the Go! Silver Industry Committee, aimed at developing a vibrant silver industry for the ageing population.

Ms Lim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics and Mathematics, from the National University of Singapore.

She is married with two children.

Frank Koo is the Managing Director for Oracle Corporation Singapore. In this role, he is responsible for managing the company’s operations and activities in Singapore, including long-term business development, customer care, as well as government and community relations.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Koo was Managing Director for the South Asia Growth Economies, covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Since joining Oracle in 1999, Mr. Koo has held various management appointments including Regional Director of eBusiness for the South Asia region and Senior Director, Alliances and Channels for Singapore.

Mr. Koo has more than 16 years of experience in the IT industry, covering business and product management, consulting, marketing, sales and channels management.

Before joining Oracle, Mr. Koo held management positions in IBM and Digital Equipment.

Mr. Koo graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is also a graduate of INSEAD as well as IMD Senior Executive Program and holds the Certified Professional Marketer (Asia Pacific) qualification from the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation. He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors as well as the ICT committee of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce.

James is CIO of YCH Group, responsible for the Group and its subsidiaries’ IT strategies and performance. He led the Group's move to spin off their IT department into an independent IT company - Y3 Technologies. He aligns all IT assets to the Group’s business and leading the development of award-winning innovative SCM solutions for YCH customers.

James has more than 25 years of management and IT experience having served in senior management positions at Cincom Systems, (an ERP application software vendor), ObTech Asia Pacific, an NEC Corp subsidiary focusing on IT consultancy and services and Viewlocity Asia Pacific, a SCM solution vendor.

James also has a wide-ranging and direct working experience with top MNC clients on strategic system project, operations and management in ASEAN, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan particularly in the area of manufacturing & distribution.

He contributes actively to the industry serving on A*STAR Get-Up Advisory Council, SLA’s Technology/e-Logistics SubCommittee and he served as the Deputy Chairman 2002-2004 on the Singapore eSCM Council and a member of Singapore RFID Alliance Steering Committee. He is the current Chairman of Singapore infocomm Technology Federation Wireless Chapter.

Ho Se Mun, Executive Director
Singapore infocomm Technology Federation

Se Mun started her career as a marketing support executive in Fuji Xerox Singapore. During her tenure in Fuji Xerox, she had organized many events, run incentive programs, managed inventory, and her last job in the company was Corporate Planning and reporting directly to the Managing Director.

She then worked in Motorola Electronics for another 10 years. During which she had headed functional roles such as Business Operations, Strategic Planning, Product Marketing for the Mobile Device Business in SEA.

Se Mun was running the SEA Regional Accessory Business before she joined Caliper, a HR consulting organsiation with HQ based in Princeton, as the General Manager for their Singapore office.
